Radeon
I’ve just noticed that the Radeon Catalyst 7.6 drivers are out and about.
Pop along to ATI’s download page to grab em.

I bumped into the Zattoo player recently. After a little playing around I’ve decided that it’s quite a good little technology.
It streams Live TV (in the UK BBC1/BBC2/BBC3/BBC4 and some others).
The technology is a proprietary P2P platform.
It connects quickly, and the quality is lovely in comparison to some of the other P2P video platforms.
Pop along and sign up for the beta, it’s certainly worth playing with. If some more of the channels from the UK/European are come on line it will be cracking.
The small issue at the moment, is to keep the broadcasters happy they limit the streams to local broadcasters, and those that don’t mind being broadcast in other territories. This stops us in the UK from receiving US and some European broadcasts.
Yup Garfield is officially 29 years old.

Has arrived, and from what I can see (posting this), is nice, shiny and new.
It’s got a much more polished feel to it (inline spell checker etc), and certainly now looks more like a modern Windows Application than it did previously.
If you have been using Beta 1, then please go and get Beta 2. If you disliked Beta 1, then try Beta 2, you never know, it may be more your thing now.
Oh, and importantly for me, there is now native support for MOSS 2007.
So I thought I would post a link to Google TiSP.
Them Google boys have FAR too much free time on there hands.
GrandPrix.com has launched Grand Prix+.
GP+ is a PDF based magazine that can be purchased for £1.99 or £19.99 a year. It’s designed for the screen and comes as a PDF.
The first two issues are free, so pop along and check it out.
It seems that Ford have canned plans for the ‘hot’ replacement for the Escort RS Cosworth. The 4 wheel drive, Rally Inspired Ford Focus RS has apparently been canned due to concerns over CO2 emissions.
The prototype ‘mule’ cars have been running for a while now, in fact since the MK1 Focus, but it was believed that the MkII Focus would be the car to carry the fabled RS moniker.
People were looking forward to the 300Bhp 4 wheel drive monster, or it seems, according to Ford that they weren’t.
The Ford spokesman said that "It’s worth bearing in mind that it’s not the green issue which is driving this decision - cars have to be profitable. While Britain is the home of RS, there’s not enough interest across other markets for us to earn the kind of money that’s going to give the vehicle a green light" So not a CO2 problem, rather a problem that the US and European Ford buyers wont fork out for a properly fast Ford.
There is still hope, apparently if WRC goes well, and the MKIII Focus is liked, that may just get the RS treatment (2010), but for now the hotest Ford on the block is still the ST.
I’ve just read over on GNUCitizen about the changes the government has introduced to the Computer Misuse Act (UK).
After section 3 of the 1990 Act insert—
“3A Making, supplying or obtaining articles for use in offence under section 1 or 3
So, it sounds like even if you are one of the ‘good guys’ then you will still have to watch out. These sort of rules basically stop the investigation / research into security mechanism’s and devices in the UK.
Oh well….. The country is becoming more and more of a nanny state.
Well in sales at least. General Motors have been the largest car seller since 1939, but they have now been surpassed by the Japanese giant, Toyota.
So not only are Toyota one of the only cash rich car companies left in the business, they are also the biggest sellers.
The Corolla is certainly the main reason that the companies sales figures are so high (being the most sold modern car in history), however the company have recently replaced the mighty sales tool of the Corolla with the Auris.
Time will tell if the new car will be as popular as the outgoing model.
It seems that their all jumping ship. To me from the outside looking in, it seems that there must be quite a lot of disquite inside the Party at the moment.
With two of the main ‘runners’ gone, I can’t see the party recovering quickly.
It’s a pity realy, however hope springs eternal, the Blah Party may just be picking up the mantle, that the OMRLP used to hold.
