The IMDB Game

Dan has come up with a genius game, The IMDB Game. Basically you have to get to a chosen movie or actor/actress without using the keyboard at all, and using only the movies on the home page of IMDB as a starting point.

Have a look at his post about it for all the details…… Hours of fun to be had….. Why not challenge a friend ;)

My flatmate is a Ninja

Well he is not, but the video is quite funny ;)

SkyHD Engineers Presentation

I’ve come across a copy of he presentation given by Sky to engineers on the forthcoming SkyHD. Download it and have a look, gives away a fair chunk of information. I’m really starting to wish that I lived in a TeleWest area!

Thanks to AVForums for the heads up

The Simpson’s Live

This is great, someone has put together the Simpson’s intro using real actor’s. It’s obviously English made as well (steering wheel on the right hand side etc.)

There is some decent editing going on in it as well. Go have a look

BBC Multicast trials

Simon just pointed out the BBC / ITV Multicast Trials site to me, Thanks ;)

If you live in the UK and use a recent (WM9/QT/RP) then pop along and give it a go. At the moment they have BBC News 24, BBC1/2/3/4, ITV1/2/3/4/local, as well as most of the BBC Radio stations on the trial.

I can’t say how good or bad it is yet as I am in work and they do not have Multicast support :(

However the ISP I am on is one of the supported ISP’s so I’ll give it a go later.

X-Men: The Last Stand Theatrical trailer released

The ‘proper’ trailer for XMen 3 is now out and about. It looks good, and poses a few questions that can only be answered when you go see the flick (unless you read all the spilers on the net). Pop over and have a look for yourself (QuickTime required)

So I bring you the Tremont Blackman Mule Train video’s in DivX, MP4, RealVideo and WMV 9

More Sky By Broadband Fallout

PCDoctor has an article about what SBB does and is, it’s located here.

You have to make up your own mind about the SBB service, but everyone is getting all het up about the use of the Kontiki client in it, Sky say it’s there! and it can’t be too bad as I have not heard too many complaints about the BBC using the exact same technology!

Oh well up to you. My only proviso is don’t use it if your on a pay as you go broadband package!

Oh and don’t forget the uninstall ‘guide’ is over here.

Like I said earlier……

As I mentioned last week I said that Sony could struggle with the Blu-Ray format now that Microsoft has decided to get into bed with Toshiba on the HD-DVD format, it seems I’m not the only one with this line of thinking on the next gen optical disk format as the New York Times no less has a decent article that basically says the same thing.

At least I’m not on my own in this line of thinking.

Funny site of the day

Now I’m not saying I agree or disagree with this site, but it’s amusing none the less. www.craignotbond.com is a funny incite into what the new Bond star has done, and might possibly (not?) bring to the secret agents on screen persona.

Why not have a wander over and check the site out for yourself, they have a strangely persuasive argument ;)
