More info has turned up on the loverly looking Koenigsegg CCX.
It looks like my speculation about it going after the Veyron is wrong. The specs are the same as the CCR, this is 806bhp Twin supercharged V8.
It makes the car pretty quick, the CCR is a 3.2 second car to 62 and stops accelerating at 245mph (hence the Veyron’s 253mph).
So it looks like the CCX may be an American friendly version of the Swedish companies flagship product, word is that the engine has even been tuned for the (bad) American fuel (89/91 octane).
