Motorsport roundup

Whilst I’m posting I’ll do this

  • Jacques Villeneuve will be driving for BMW Sauber in 2006 it has been confirmed.
  • Loebe has won the Race of Champions at the Stade de France yesterday; he beat Tom Kristensen in the final.
  • Tiago Monteiro has been confirmed at Midland F1.
  • The CDG wing proposal will not be on the cars in 2007, however it has not been ruled out in the future.
  • Super Aguri F1 will re-apply to run next year after being left of the list of the 2006 challengers, as apparently they failed to complete some of the paperwork. Max Mosley said that the team could re-apply and if the other 10 teams accept then they can run next year.
  • Honda has said there ‘new’ car will be called the RA106.
  • Heikki Kovalainen will be Renault’s 3rd driver next year.
  • …..Finally our Jenson is doing well at Barcelona in testing, topping the timesheets 2 days in a row.

That’s about it I think. But hey I’m not well so could have missed something ;)
