Skoda WRC rumours continue
The Skoda WRC team may currently still be deciding if they are going to continue in 2006 (they are waiting for a decision from VAG bosses, but it would be a mistake to pull out in my personal opinion, there as popular in the UK/Europe as they are for a reason, and that reason is there Motorsport Heritage).
However it seems there are at least two teams actively pursuing a privateer entry of the Fabia vRS WRC.
The two teams doing this are apparently Red Motorsports and a team fronted by ex driver Armin Schwarz (with possible Red Bull backing).
Both teams are apparently in talks with Colin McRae (alongside the Factory team), and Armin is apparently in talks with Duval (Citroen) to drive one of the cars.
So it looks like it may be a strong 2006 for the Fabia vRS WRC, up to 6 cars running! not bad, just proves that the car is decent, and with a little more work by the Skoda boys I am sure it will be constantly competitive.
