TV buying
As I mentioned before I am currently in the market for a new TV to replace my ageing non HDTV CRT Toshiba 32" set. As I mentioned I am looking at the Pioneer PDP-436XDE 43" Plasma.
I got to have a look at one in action, and it does look very sweet, the black is black and colours are nice, also the response speed of the display seems to be pretty good as well. However the clincher for me is the external box that has all the input’s and output’s it makes keeping everything nice and clean.
The one thing I was worried about with plasma displays was the whole lifespan and burn-in subjects, however this site has a good article on the myths of plasma’s.
So I think I have made my mind up, the Pioneer does both 720p and 1080i (not 1080p but hey!) and will make my XBox360 look great, and that’s all I really care about
