Also Ford’s new Focus WRC 06 did well, getting two fastest stage times on the rally of Australia. The car apparently has some very clever technologies on it, however Ford are trying to not let anyone know exactly what is going on under the hood. It certainly looks good, lets hope the Focus RS looks as good when it’s launched.

Rossi has again been driving the Ferrari F1 car, he says he enjoyed it, but no more about him switching to four wheels instead of two. (itv-f1 article)

Talking of F1, Toyota have announced that they have signed a deal with Bridgestone to supply them for a few years at least, they join Williams, Midland (Jordan) and of course Ferrari on the Japanese rubber. This may be a good idea for two reasons. One Toyota should really be using there fellow Japanese companies rubber, and if the FIA do decide to change to a single tyre series it would probably be Bridgestone that they choose as the supplier (the FIA and Michelin don’t seem to get along). Good luck to them, let’s hope Mike Gascoyne can get the chassis sorted on the new rubber.
